2026-10-24: Grok Field Guide (v3) and first public deploy

Renamed the site Grok Field Guide. Every footer and the About and method section say "Independent, not affiliated with xAI."
New information architecture from proposals/ia-2026-10-24.md: 7 shelves replace the 10 categories in the navigation, and every entry now has a level, setup time, what it works with, how much it does on its own, a proof label, plain tags, A-Z keywords and collections. The old category, tags and confidence fields are kept. Snapshot: data/versions/catalog-2026-10-24-ia.json.
Home page shows five collections: Start here, Save money, Overnight helpers, Power moves, Read before you try. The shelves are listed below them.
Explorer filters are now shelf, level, setup, works with, on its own, proof and collection. "Acts on its own" entries are marked with a warning on cards, in the drawer and on entry pages. Search matches synonyms, for example "cancel" finds subscriptions. New sort: easiest first.
The power plays page is now the Power moves collection page (13 entries). Categories page redirects to the new Shelves page. New A-Z index page.
One static page per entry under entries/<id>/, fully rendered without JavaScript. Cards link to these pages; a plain click still opens the quick-view drawer.
Added canonical links, Open Graph and Twitter card tags, a 1200x630 social image, JSON-LD (WebSite with search, ItemList, Article, BreadcrumbList, HowTo where an entry has steps), sitemap.xml, robots.txt, RSS and JSON feeds, llms.txt, favicons, a 404 page and a changelog page.
Added scripts/ia.py, scripts/og.py, scripts/dist.py and scripts/publish.sh. merge.py now keeps the new fields and fills defaults for new entries. dist/ holds only public files.
Published to Cloudflare Pages at https://grok-field-guide.pages.dev. Web Analytics is not on yet (needs a dashboard step).

2026-10-24: site redesign (v2)

New look: dark-first editorial design with a light theme toggle that follows the system setting, one lime accent, grid and grain texture, bundled OFL fonts (Geist, Geist Mono, Instrument Serif Italic). No external requests.
Home: headline, live stats from the data, a catalog-at-a-glance panel (score histogram, confidence mix, category counts), and the top three shown large.
Explorer: instant search across title, description, steps and tags; category, confidence and tag filters; sort by score, newest, confidence or A to Z; 10-segment score meter; filter state in the URL hash.
Entry drawer: steps or prompt with a copy button, reported results, verification notes, typed source links, prev/next, copy link. Deep links via #entry-id. Side panel on tablets and desktops, full-height bottom sheet with swipe-to-close on phones.
Categories page is now a tile grid with counts, average score, confidence mix and the top entry. Power plays page uses numbered feature blocks with steps and a tag index.
Added a scoring method section with the confidence key and a note that this is an independent catalog, not an xAI resource.
Mobile-first layout with fluid type and spacing, bottom tab bar on phones, 44px touch targets, safe-area insets, landscape handling, hover effects only on hover-capable devices, reduced-motion support, keyboard focus trap in the drawer.
New files: assets/app.js, assets/fonts/. Rewritten: scripts/build.py, assets/style.css, the three HTML pages. Catalog data, versions, runs and merge.py are unchanged.
Previous pages, CSS, build.py and README kept in archive/v1-2026-10-24/.

2026-10-24: first run

Created the catalog: 30 entries across all 10 categories (data/catalog.json).
Snapshot saved to data/versions/catalog-2026-10-24.json; raw run input in data/incoming/2026-10-24.json.
Generated index.html (ranked), categories.html, power-plays.html, assets/style.css.
Added scripts/merge.py (create-only merge into the master catalog) and scripts/build.py (page generator).
