Build a page that compares prices and updates every week
From X and xAI 2 sources
Ask for a page that compares prices for something you want to buy. The bot checks the prices again each week and updates the page.
What it does by itselfIt only reads websites and updates the page. It does not buy anything.
How it works
Grok Bot can now build pages, such as reports and dashboards, and keep them up to date. One user asked for a page that compares paid AI services. After 4 minutes the page showed 27 plans from 6 services, with charts and a table. The bot also set itself a check every Monday morning. A second message added a calculator. You tick the services you pay for, and it shows how much you could save if you switch. With 5 ticked, it showed $75 a month. The same user shares prompts for a trip page and a laptop price page.
How to set it up
- Update the Grok Bot app.
- Ask: Build me a page that compares [what you want to buy] at 3 stores.
- Say how often to check the prices again, for example every Friday.
- Ask it to tell you when a price drops.
- You decide what to buy.
"Build me a page comparing the 5 best [laptops] under $[budget]: specs, price at 3 stores, pros and cons. Check prices on Fridays and tell me when one drops."
What people report
27 plans from 6 services on one page in 4 minutes. With 5 services ticked, the page showed $75 a month in possible savings (one user's example).
Why we rate it 7 out of 10
Easy for anyone, and it uses a new feature that is built in. It only reads prices. The savings number is one user's example.
