Want to try a service without paying? A ready-made bot from xAI starts the trial, then cancels it or reminds you before the bill comes.

What it does by itselfIt asks you first. After your OK, it starts the trial, then cancels it or reminds you.

How it works

In October 2026, xAI added a ready-made bot (a template) for free trials. You tell it which free trial you want. It starts the trial for you. Before the trial costs money, it cancels the trial or sends you a reminder. You choose which one. The same update lets bots cancel a subscription. Bots can also find its price and renewal date. xAI says the bot asks you before it changes anything.

How to set it up

  1. Add the ready-made bot from xAI for free trials.
  2. Tell it which free trial you want to start.
  3. Choose a cancel or only a reminder before the first bill.
  4. Say yes or no each time the bot asks you.
  5. Check the email that says the trial is cancelled.
Words from the source you can copy

1. Add the "Try it, don't pay for it" template. 2. Tell it which trial to start and whether you want a cancel or only a reminder. 3. Approve each step; per the changelog, Bots "confirm with you before changing anything". 4. Check the cancel confirmation email yourself.

Set it up in 5 minutes

Paste this to your bot. It makes a small job that runs on a schedule. More prompts like this

PersonalEvery day at 9 AM

Free trial reminder

The bot keeps a list of your free trials and reminds you 2 days before each one costs money.

You need: Nothing extra

Prompt to paste to your bot

Keep a list of my free trials. When I tell you about a new trial, save its name, the date the first bill comes, and the price. Every day at 9:00 AM, check the list. If a trial bills in 2 days or less, remind me here. Do not cancel, buy, or change anything.
